About Dr. Weiss

Dr. Christopher Joseph Weiss is a board-certified Family Medicine physician with a passion for delivering thoughtful, evidence-informed, patient-centered care. With a clinical philosophy rooted in common sense, curiosity, and collaboration, he believes the best outcomes come from understanding the whole patient—not simply treating symptoms.

Dr. Weiss earned his Bachelor of Science from the University of Southern California before completing his medical degree at St. George's University School of Medicine in 2014. He went on to complete his Family Medicine residency at UT Southwestern Medical Center and became board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine in 2017.

Before becoming a physician, Dr. Weiss served on a 911 ambulance in Southern California as an EMT-B and later earned his paramedic license. That experience instilled a deep appreciation for decisive medical care in critical situations while reinforcing the importance of prevention, education, and long-term health.

Throughout his career, Dr. Weiss has expanded his expertise beyond traditional primary care through advanced training in bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT), mineral balance, cellular health, and functional medicine principles. He is a certified Root Cause Protocol Consultant and has completed advanced physician education through WorldLink Medical, allowing him to integrate both conventional and functional approaches when appropriate.

His areas of clinical interest include hormone optimization, metabolic health, preventive medicine, gut health, chronic inflammation, environmental illness, mold-related illness, and complex chronic conditions. Dr. Weiss believes that careful listening, thoughtful investigation, and individualized treatment plans often uncover opportunities for healing that might otherwise be overlooked.

In addition to caring for patients, Dr. Weiss serves as a collaborating physician and medical director for advanced practice providers throughout Texas. He enjoys partnering with nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and growing practices by providing accessible physician oversight, clinical guidance, and collaborative support grounded in mutual respect and practical medicine.
